Soft Tissue Therapy

The aim is to reduce pain in the soft tissues & restore mobility. We can treat minor injures to the soft tissues such as muscle strains, tears & spasms, sprains & damage to the soft tissues after surgery.

What is a Soft Tissue Therapy?

Soft Tissue Therapy is where our remedial massage comes in. By using special advanced techniques & manipulation of the soft tissues we aim to treat pain & dysfunction within the muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments & joints. We want to not only achieve this in the treatment room but also in-between treatments through rehabilitation & pain management. Pain & dysfunction doesn’t just happen through sport but can also be caused by lifestyle or injury.

Our advanced techniques

  • Neuromuscular Techniques
  • Muscle Energy Techniques
  • Soft Tissue Release
  • Deep Tissue Massage
  • Myofascial release
  • Techniques to enable a greater range of motion at the joints

These techniques help to realign damaged muscle fibres, improving circulation to increase blood flow to aid healing but also to help reduce swelling. These specialist techniques are what makes STT differ from massage, STT is not just a 'deep massage'. Dysfunctional muscles will not be able to contract or stretch as they should leading to possible pain but also restriction in movement, SST helps regain this movement & tissue flexibility & mobility at the joints.

Soft Tissue Therapy is known to be highly effective in helping you restore your normal muscular function after injury, speed up recovery & works with the bodies natural healing process. It can be used alongside other medical practises too. It is suitable for most people, a safe & effective treatment for muscular pain.

Treatments

If you are new to NbodyworX you will need to be seen for an hour for your first appointment, if returning & are in any doubt we can discuss.

Booking an appointment is super easy using our online booking system...once booked in you will be sent confirmation & some forms to fill out before your treatment via email. The purpose of this information is to notify myself of any medical conditions, symptoms & conditions that may affect the purpose of having a treatment beforehand to saves time and allow your appointment to run as smoothly as possible.

Always allow just a little longer for your first treatment, this is so we can carry out a full postural assessment & have the time to talk to you about any injuries or possible problems you may have. We do this so we can make sure your treatment is bespoke to you, no two are the same. It ensures that we treat you as an individual & are able to treat the correct areas but also support your recovery with the correct rehabilitation plan.
